Ocoa is clean, curl-friendly, and vegan — always free from silicones, sulfates, and parabens. We use skincare-quality ingredients sourced from nuestra tierra(our land) to nourish your curls from root to tip.
We are free off:
Sulfates (no harsh sulfates like SLS or SLES)
Silicones (no dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, etc.)
Parabens
Coconut Oil
Phthalates
Nuts & nut oils (we do not use common tree nut oils such as almond, walnut, or peanut)
Mineral oil / petrolatum
Drying alcohols
Synthetic perfumes (our fragrance is a 100% natural essential oil blend, phthalate-free)
Formaldehyde & formaldehyde-releasing preservatives
What we do use instead:
Plant-derived cleansers (apple- and sugar-derived surfactants in shampoo)
Natural oils & butters like sunflower, marula, mango, and cupuaçu (non-nut sources)
Botanical extracts (hibiscus, quinoa, rosemary, carrot, rice, nettle, etc.)Gentle conditioning agents for hydration and slip
